Why is there a jurying fee?
The jurying fee covers the expense in hiring individuals to review the art and art displays submitted for entry into the show. This ensures a very high quality art show.
How much does it cost to participate in the Hampton Falls Art on the Common show?
The cost to participate in the show, should you be accepted is $75. This fee is to offset the expenses of the show, such as marketing, printing, advertising, security and jurying the day of the show.
Will I get my participation check back if I’m not accepted into the show?
Your check will not be physically returned to you. However, the reason you send two checks in with your application is so that the participation fee check can be destroyed if you are not accepted.
Can I set up the night before?
Yes, security is being provided from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am so that you can set up the night before the event.
Will awards be given the day of the show?
There will be awards the day of the show. The categories will be Best in Show, Best in Individual Mediums, and Honorable Mention. Best in Show will receive a cash award of $50. All award winners will be given free participation in next year’s event.
Where is Hampton Falls?

**How will COVID-19 impact Art on the Common 2020?**
With the uncertainty of this pandemic, AoC 2020 has a newly rescheduled date of Saturday, September 26th, 2020 with a rain date (should it be necessary) of Sunday, September 27th. We want to reassure all artists and visitors that in the event that this COVID-19 pandemic requires us to cancel our rescheduled date, we will make an announcement and return all funds to artists. We will also abide by any and all COVID-19 safety requirements in order to make this show an uplifting event for everyone!
We are optimistic that we will be able to enjoy Art on the Common this fall and we thank you all for the continued support.
